Community Play Date
Together, we seek to: Welcome everyone Provide a safe environment Offer friendship, support and a listening ear Value, encourage and involve everyone Care for all It is not uncommon for parents and carers to organise Play Dates for their babies and children: it is a time for wee ones to have fun, make friends and meet other adults. It is also a time for parents and carers to do the same! Often, what is done during this time is less important than the ‘doing it together’ in a safe and friendly environment. It is this ethos of relaxed welcome that the Community Play Date offers to all pre-school children and babies in Monifieth and their parents and/or carers.
Expectant mothers and partners are also welcome.
The Community Play Date is run by the congregation of Monifieth Parish Church and is open to people of all faiths and none. In offering this space of welcome and hospitality, our aims are that:
From these specific aims, it is hoped that the following may be allowed to happen:

Refreshments are offered to parents/ carers and are also available for wee ones, although many have their own. Some bring lunch, especially if they are heading to Nursery thereafter. Attendance is free and open to all families with young ones.
